Pressure Vessels for Seawater Reverse Osmosis Systems
Composite Concepts Pressure Vessels have set the standard for high pressure seawater reverse osmosis membrane housings for almost 40 years. The simple rugged design is a favorite of industry professionals, installers and service technicians due to outstanding performance, reliability, and longevity.
Unique bearing plate and hex port connection fittings completely eliminate the end plug stress and resultant cracking that has been the age old problem with any other brands that use threaded end plugs and directly connected high pressure and product fittings.
External bearing plates are bolted to the end plug providing a simple and positive method of removing and replacing in the field when membrane replacement is called for. No special tools or swear words are required! Other types which use complicated retaining clips, circlips, or segmented rings can be a real struggle to service and have the opportunity for small parts to be forever lost in the bilge or elsewhere.
Full length tie rods utilize the same concept as high pressure hydraulic rams and contain the pressure required for reverse osmosis with a physical containment of the end plugs without causing any tensile stress on the fiberglass vessel material.
Vessels are available in industry standard 2.5” and 4.0” internal diameter and lengths of 21” or 40” for the 2.5” vessels and single or double length 4.0 x 40”. Double length vessels require an internal permeate tube connector which is available from Sea-R.O.
Vessels are rated for operating pressure of up to 1000 psi.
